One whole side of Santorini sits precariously on the 1000ft high cliffs staring down into the blue Agean, and probably nowhere is this more accessible than Oia.
Here the whole town drips down the volcanic black cliffs to meet the sea.
Early one morning scouting for some photography locations, I rounded a street corner and descended further into the resident quarter of Oia (well ... as far as i could go before confronting a Guest Only sign) and found two churces side by side.
Both sat teetering on the edge of the cliff, ... Sunday mass comes with one hell of a view!
