Occasionally springing up amongst the seemingly endless miles of lavender fields along the plain of Valensole are these ancient almond and olive trees. Sitting all alone they make for great focal points in the landscape. Late afternoon sun provided enough sidelighting to define the ribbons of lavender leading up the hill.
